common daily challenge W

idk i kinda fw it

soft-hitfinish3.wav

feels very different from gengaozo-but-faster which i think is interesting, i think it's the bigger focus on rhythm reading and the lack of reverse sliders

Epic offset

storyboard is very nice ✅

someone made an osu heatmaps website https://osu-heatmap.ekga.me/ and this is one of the examples they picked. check it out

ice angel but with the swag

this is really Unbreakable (Sped Up & Cut Ver.)

wait this is mapped by banchobot

crn in 2024

the new diffcalc updates have given this map mystical and radioactive properties on osu!stable

- just having this map downloaded can cause all newly-downloaded maps to never compute their difficulty and display as 0* forever
- for a couple versions your game would crash from a memory leak after 20-30 seconds of gameplay if you had this map downloaded. even if you were playing a different song

i remember its also caused problems with lazer import in the past. it's probably the non-graved set responsible for causing the most problems

yaaaaa

i don't understand the choice of 1/16 rhythm at 0:49 (on "to-es" and "o-ver"). i guess the intention was to make me do snap-aim motions, but the 1/4 rhythm of the lyrics is way more important and prominent and the snap doesn't fit imo. I know it's done on purpose but it feels like a mistake. that rhythm is called back at 02:16:271 where at least the intensity matches better so ?i guess it's setting up for that?

In the initial upload of this map i felt weird about it skipping the kiai. It's still a bold choice, i kind of wish there was *something* pointing out the 1/2 rhythm, but i like the way the storyboard title drop fills the gap. i see the vision. I like the storyboard a lot btw, simple effects that work well.

to my ears, the intense part of the song starts at 04:32:634 and the escalation at 04:48:998 is *relatively* minor compared to the initial impact. which is why it's jarring that the map follows the vocal rhythm to a T until 4:48, and only *then* starts the rhythmic overmapping.

if anything:
1. well i have my whiny complaints but i still like the way this map makes me think and feel. If i agreed with everything in the map it would not have the same impact.
2. i still think the ending is way too hard tho .

interesting Hard diff

top reddit comment on one of the threads about this map was someone just posting a picture of the end of fiery's diff and a bunch of people were pogging their brains out in the replies

I think i would have liked this more before the circular stream spacing was buffed lol. I still think it's great though

aim control stuff is very good but the stuff in between is pretty bland i think

flawless

#2 most underrated map of all time lets go

it's alright! i guess im not seeing the magic other people are seeing though lol

the constraint is forcing a lot of really awkward rhythm choices on the top diff 😔

this map is just doing whatever the hell it wants to, i kinda fw it

hes so fucking good at hitsounding

im never sure how to feel about these maps, cause they feel like they're not For everyday plebs. it's made for the experience of watching top players struggle on 27* patterns & it's made to be eye candy for tourney viewers. representing the song well is secondary. and like of course it is, what am i gonna say, "i think your tiebreaker is too hard in places"?
