By no means perfect, but I do think this is one of the coolest Easy diffs I've made. Really happy how the map turned out overall, both with the patterns and rhythm usage.

Casual players aside, I don't think there's a year where people didn't consider this best of 2007. Maps during this time are always extra impressive when you consider the lack of map pool to draw inspiration from.

Currently travelling in Singapore so I can't check this map out, but damn those are some ratings.

TAG diff LOL

In my humble opinion, darrihuka's greatest map. This guy was making monster maps during a time period where 90% of maps were super scuffed, imagine if he continued mapping until 2013! Such a shame.

Hard diff is goated, I make all my 6 digit friends play this and they hate me for it \:D/

Insane comparatively is not really my cup of tea, imo falls into the old map trap of overmapping to make a map hard.

One of the lesser known Gladi/Lesjuh maps (thanks DMCA \:D/) but the Another diff is another certified hood classic. Do not pass this up.

I cannot play val's diff because my left hand only knows how to tap to Lesjuh's diff.

Not a bad map but I think difficulty of Black Another is a bit too front-loaded. The timing of the break as well also makes me lose interest in playing the rest of the map once I reach it.

I haven't played Easy or Hard since 2010 so I have no comment on them :D

@Kurboh I actually used to think the same thing, including Doomsday's parts being the only good parts (although I also liked Rena's parts).

Fast forward to 2020 and actually being able to play the map properly... I actually quite like the map now. I think the general tapping and flow has the same level of enjoyment as a lot of old maps, which for me basically means they're at least charming products of their time and enjoyable to play.

But yeah I definitely remember back at the time, me thinking this was the most overrated map of all time, seeing how it was constantly hogging the #1 most played for months on end, lol.

I don't know how to storyboard for the life of me, simple ones like this map was the extent of my ability XD pretty sure background was a paint.NET edit as well LOL (the original image is the one that shows up during the kiai sections).

Anyway, 2012 I thought this was the greatest Lesjuh map of all time, today I still think that is true.

I never really liked the way the other diffs play and I even remember back then, I had deleted every diff except Lesjuh's because I would never want to play any other diff. That's honestly still true to this day, anyway goated diff.

Also this mix is hands down the greatest rendition of Kokoro Odoru of all time.

These maps are so silly, but fuck they are fun to play.

This goes for a lot of old maps, but no one would unironically map like this today, which I find all the more impressive as mappers from this era were able to create unique maps that are beloved by a good number of people to this day. Not a lot of people, but a respectable chunk.

1 of 3 winning maps from the second ever (official) beatmapping contest. Honestly all of these diffs are fucking perfect. They're designed at a difficulty that appropriately challenges the player of their respective target audiences with interesting rhythms. Also all the maps look like sex.

Despite the Easy/Normal being well below my skill level around this time, I still had a lot of fun playing through them multiple times. Heck to this day, I will play all these diffs and adore them all.

I think Lesjuh has always been great at making fun Easy/Normal diffs, and this mapset is an excellent showcase of that.

One of the only(?) maps where Gladi plays around with using sharp angled sliders instead of curved sliders, which actually makes it visually stand out a lot compared to his other maps. It has simple ideas but the execution in the aim and tapping flow is A+. This is an incredibly common trend in the many Gladi and Lesjuh maps of this time.

This map was such an inspiration for me, one of my favourite maps at the time. Used the diamond pattern in /s/20206 and copied the idea for the aggressive speed-up at the end in /s/30933

↓ also LOL

I've honestly got no idea. I remember getting my mum to buy the album in 2005 when I was in year 4, and around that time, this song and Far Away were frequently being played on the radio (as well as some of their older hits). I don't think it was until after I started high school when hating on Nickelback became a thing, but that could also be due to increasing exposure to other peoples' thoughts, due to globalisation from the increasing use of the internet and the iPhone coming out in 2007.

Anyway this whole album slaps (All the Right Reasons), would highly recommend a listen!

Larto was asked to make a Hard because I felt like he could make the diff exactly the way I envisioned in my head, and he fucking delivered.

This mapset sparked a huge change in mapping style for me because I explicitly tried to copy Lesjuh mapping. Not that it ends up looking like it I don't think, lol. Still suffers from copy and paste from laziness, and a really unnecessary number of spinners across the diffs.

Also decimal place BPM because bad, the timing becomes later as the song progresses as a result.

Insane does not age well, but it was quite well-received at the time (I liked it too). Gladi's diff goated.

Apart from that, lepidopodus is a goated mapper and his diff here is no exception. First guest taiko I ever requested from him.
