I thought this was a cheap copy of Al-Azif's map until 2:43, then I remembered tieff has that dawg in him

Patterns are hit or miss but when they hit damn are they good

I agree with the same pattern point though that triangle with the circle in the middle kinda overstayed its welcome

It's very exciting to play when you have ptsd from randomly generated rhythm/spacing/angles/sv in maps from the past few years (not all)
Playing something like this 02:10:983 (5,6,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,1,1,1) - just hits right even though the map is only 4*. I will always love lower sv for the extra bit of punch it adds to the already accentuated sliderheads

Also I hate the song lol

If you wanted to make some kind of demonstration about putting aside personal beef and coming together as a community, why do it with a blind collab? lol

The rhythm in the swing section before the first chorus should not have passed qual in any universe

Someone like Natteke can be gone for 5 years and forget how to do sane spacing and the next map will still feel right

Just awesome, this map is the embodiment of high effort

It's less about the song itself and more about how I fundamentally disagree with this map's right to exist (which is pretty much what I reserve 0 for)

Pretty much requires a sliderend-less skin to play (and also the esoteric knowledge that sliderends aren't actually where they appear to be, which is really unfair IMO)

I don't think the people who know this map are rating it from a purely mapper's perspective

Every difficulty hard focuses the vocals at the halftime section where the drums are the main attraction and half of the kicks are inside or on the ends of sliders, but at least they had the courtesy to lower the SV by 0.00001

What does it mean for the skin to fit the mapping? I was actually glad to see map skin where someone isn't cosplaying some 2010 garbage

I never understood why people keysound in standard despite the song still playing even if you miss notes (as opposed to some games where this practice originated from). You would think that under these circumstances someone would use the samples to add another melody or something on top of the song, instead of copy-pasting what's already there for nobody to notice unless they happen to disable music volume in the editor. But that's neither here nor there.

I think avalon was a godsend for mapping theory, but it doesn't seem to be effective in teaching people how to innovate upon that theory, bend the principles (the word "rule" scares people), and have ideas in relation to the song they're mapping. It's like a mathematician trying to use category theory to do their finances. Theory ought to be applied within reason.

I can't definitively call this map bad; it's a good map in the most technical sense that the objects do not tend to contradict each other on screen given the approach time, but it's not something I would get excited to play because of how visually sterile it is while also being seemingly untestplayed. The 1/2 spam in the in choruses, non-sequitur spacing, and lack of attention paid to aim strain give me that impression.

Anyway, I don't feel strongly about this map so I'll refrain from voting on it. These are just some general gripes I felt would be appropriate to post on a map that ticks both boxes. Sorry for posting cringe
