generally speaking i value slider design as being a fundamental aspect for specific sounds and i simply dislike your choices. to me, they don't *fit* the vibe of the song. i think this and your movement choices are the primary factor in why i dislike the map as a whole aside from contrast choices as whole
to me your intro 00:01:805 - is fine, but then i start to dislike your movement choices 00:10:861 - for the 2nd half this beginning 8 bar section
the choruses open with movement that i think fits and feels good, but everything else in the chorus just feels so overdone, like there's no real contrast which flattens the dynamics of the song
01:14:823 - i do like that you continue mapping the dotted quarter note piano but the movement is jarring, chaotic even and it's the same in the other post-choruses. i do think sometimes a 'less is more' philosophy should be applied to let the actual peaks in the song breathe
sure it's visually appealing but i think its fundamental flaw is that it doesn't abuse slider leniency enough for the drop in favor of keeping geometry, which still could've been maintained with higher velocity.
think sometimes it's dtm when it ideally shouldn't but at the same time it does have good ideas. intensity is a bit inconsistent with spikes in parts of the song where there's not much going on it being on par with chorus/bridge, but it is what it is
And why the fuck you thought that putting fucking fast triplets and no-linear streams on a chill map is a good idea? And why the hell this shit is ranked? It's inconsistent low quality bullshit.
i always find myself f2ing back to this in one of my collections. it’s not a particularly difficult map to play but i do feel the mapping properly evokes the song.
movement choices are great, sv usage feels good, etc… no real arbitrary difficulty spikes for chill sections
