mapping skins

mapping

hellos. when i map something, i think my logical starting placements of a pattern is partly influenced through what i see visually (combo colors, background, skin).

im curious whats your go to skin when mapping (if ur willing to share it). it might give ideas trying out different stuff

thanks

my current skin isnt that practical and i mainly use it for catch mapping, though i use a different skin altogether for playing
Default always. Also I need a background that keeps the grid completely visible or else I forget what planet I'm on and end up not using like the leftmost eighth of the playfield or something LOL
i use an edited default skin cause i rly hate the way hitcircles look
Default, all ranking criteria is based on default, also followpoints are great to measure spacing
my rustbell edit, ik it's not a good skin for mapping but i like it :3
true about the grid thing most my bgs when i map r either gray of defualt lol feel like i cant see shi t
I'm with semaphore and PaRaDogi. Default skin for mapping all the way.

Force Default if using custom skin elements btw.

99% of the time I map with the same skin i use for playing and only switch to default when hitsounding. Also prefer to map on a completely black bg when starting and then find an actual bg when halfway done
I use custom old rafis skin https://aranel.s-ul.eu/Iv6Swpq9 and for bg i usually just put random things in bg
