ok ya novelty genre works
sure
yeah, i should add editing genre & lang now that graveyard stuff is a thing. "novelty" genre would potentially cover this then?
i mean for stuff thats already on the leaderboard yeah agree, hence why earlier i said its useless before graved sets are addable - also this was also meant to cover stuff thats not tagged as novelty on the main site (both my examples doesn't have novelty tag)
though if proposing for editing tags is easier to implement then i'm ok on just waiting for that to be implemented instead of having descriptors for these kind of stuff
> im ambivalent as to how useful this is but also inis style is a tag so maybe im overthinking it
iNiS style is a tag for an existing mapping style and is not represented in either the legacy identifications (genre and language) so it makes sense for it to be a descriptor
This proposal gets way less convincing even after the changes… feels like someone could just use the novelty language genre to look up charts of maps like these. Only thing is missing is the ability to propose map edits for genre and language which I suppose can be easily added in the future
reharmonized speech bits stuff doesn't count ideally since thats still kind of a song
thats it thx i'm overthinking it for no reason
also more examples:
/s/490101 /s/729089
okay awesome changed to a yes bc if the map exists in the listing anyway it ought 2 be properly tagged
im ambivalent as to how useful this is but also inis style is a tag so maybe im overthinking it
current description is a bit wordy and weird; i'd go w something like "Uses a non-song backing audio track."
hopefully this is good enough
this is still nowhere near the standard i'd expect to see for proposals, take a look at the way current descriptor descriptions are formatted for reference
just used novelty because ranked use novelty tag for smth similar ish
idk a better name for this tbh suggest smth better i'll take anything
this isn't really the definition of novelty though
also this would be a useless idea if graved maps indexing is not a thing imo but now you can put in graved maps soooo
did something
good initiative but obviously needs way way better than this. i'd recommend drafting something more full before opening a proposal in the future
don't know how to describe this in a good and not bullshit way but it's for stuff like this wwwwwwwwwwwww - wwwwwwwwwwww (ID => 696435)
also not sure if parent tag should be meta information
