You can close it, since im not sure of how to go about making the description better
As discussed, this is definitely going to require a much better proposal with sources and a much more stringent description. osu! is a toughie, we have a lot of words to describe styles but no one has ever really sat down and broke down exactly what makes up each style. So this sort of stuff is unexplored territory (see: my failed "russian-style" proposal).
@totallywaffles You're welcome to either edit the proposal or I can close this. Let me know what you intend to do. If I close this then it'd probably be like a month wait until you can try this specific one again
entry level tech
this got me thinking about a system in which you can choose how prominent descriptors relating to gameplay are (like people could rate a "heat" level on top of voting for the descriptor itself) but that'd prolly be too convoluted and hard to implement
It exists and the term is in common use, I think it could work, but you'd need to define it more specifically which is a difficult task
I do not like the tag description but I think there is such a thing. would like to raise a practical case -- sakuzyo - Aldebaran (Ellyu) would be nice to be able to find maps similar to this
renumi's examples are the sort of thing I was thinking of... yeah this is kinda an rlc copy tag lol
" -1, imho this is isn't useful. other descriptors and context based off of release year are more than satisfactory to get a feel for how intense a map uses "tech elements" " The problem is I dont there are any tags that you can conjointly use to get what this descriptor is describing, the closest is probably tech and simple, but the maps this descriptor is referring to are too complex to apply the simple tag to imo.
For the descriptor name, yeah I agree its not quite satisfactory, so shoot me your ideas
the kids yearn for rlc copy tag

these maps FEEL like peak definition of light tech to /me/ cus they test those same unconventional rhythms but in a way that prioritizes simpler rhythms + straightforward "clean" patterning than what the song provides but theres just no way to narrow it down from that. the parent descriptor works fine to this end
its real but its too personal of a concept to attach a definityion that everyone wld be happy with tbh
moderately vanilla with some usages of sv changes? i think of maps like this for light tech DJ Noriken - #The_Relentless_(Modified) (captin1)
i get it its like tech but theres a shit ton of light that blinds you from out of nowhere and you are playing the map and you are blind.
i understand what this is gping for but the title needs to be more specific and on the nose to the type of map youre describing. tech is already a vague term so adding "light" just makes it even vaguer.
needs to be a way stronger proposal with given sources and a more in-depth description IMO

miura's orca gd
i think it's fine because tech is already defined under the tech descriptor, but i'm hold for now. can you provide some examples of light tech?
you should probably define "tech" first
For stuff with low sv by todays tech standards and with structure more reminiscent of vanilla maps
