this is extremely vague without depper knowledge of the aforementioned styles imo and will probably be misused, right? like why not make a curved slider tag and just put most maps in it. maybe "slidershape gimmick" would work better because it's more specific, and can more widely applicable to other slider shape restrictions.
it works, as long as youre happy with it being used on a large range of maps and not just kiddly etc style maps
this is a retry of one of the early descriptor proposals i tried that failed: https://omdb.nyahh.net/descriptor/proposal/?id=3
the main criticism for it back then was due to the name: "angular". this was deemed too vague and nondescript. with that in mind here are some changes:
- changed the name to "angular sliders" to make it clear it's specific to slidershapes
- slightly modified the description to make it clear that it's about the central aesthetic of the map
- descriptors now have tooltip that appears on hover on maps, which would serve as further disambiguation
the mappers that come to mind for this for me would be tsuka, kloyd, and kiddly
