Too complex of a tag! How should I know which mapper/mappers are being emulated if the tag couldn't tell me so? Compare this to other existing tags, a normie can 99% see whether they are correct or not by just playing through the map. This would be pretty cool for a list though!
to clarify something below: i think both maps i referenced would fit under the parent tag of pastiche, but that -GN's would specifically be the child tag of old-style revival under this proposal
old-style revival and iNiS-style are various types of pastiche that have their own tags already, but the use of the term "pastiche" does not necessarily have to reference maps or mappers considered old at the time they were created (i.e. i think there is a somewhat-valuable distinction between something like Skystar's Kairikou and -GN's Fury of the Storm).
i worded the description in the way i did to better delineate cases of simple influence upon a mapper, but i recognize that the very gradient-like nature of it makes it difficult to in practice (and would be a reason to deny this, for sure—i still hold that it's more benefit than drawback, though).
i think this would be a good way of grouping those tags while also keeping a general tag open for those less-defined cases.
