It Definitely works better on stuff like /s/1964791 or /s/1964790 where its less intruisive and the map works with the sampling Better

Anywyas I think I relaized that s its probably better ot just Leave the original song as is without adding A million things shortly after that so if that makes u feel any better

xaev is indeed a musical genius and i think shoehorning a bunch of random "nostalgic" samples in as SB'ed hitsounds really throws me out of it in the worst way. it adds nothing and imo could even be deemed insulting considering the whole idea is that it's sample-based music. unfortunate bc the map itself isnt even bad but the presentation is just unbearable

also im not saying wafer did this to insult xaev obviously but man those hitsounds actually ruin this in a big way

obviously my diffnames and hs make the sets seem way more troll than i map them with the intention of having but i do genuinely like my way of represnting the music

anyways im maybe burnt out of adhd maxxing dariacore mapping so maybe ill go back to simpler songs or styles for those songs soon

i rlly like dariacore too outside of the 'silly' factor its 1 of the only genres of music that makes me feel anything

however im not just sillymaxxing on a lot of these im just doing how i feel best reps the song

on tamer xaev stuff like /s/1964791 u can tell a clear stylistic difference cus i feel like that song has hella diff vibes

i unironically really like xaev i think he manages to make some really funny but also super catchy and fun to listen stuff it goes hard as fuck

my main issue with most of these wafer maps is that they mainly just capture the funnynness/sillyness and lean into it way too much to the point where its annoying and unfun which is the exact opposite feeling i get from the music (though maybe this is literally just a skill issue and if i was better at the game and i could actually play them i would have fun... not sure)
