just felt like typing a non completely braindead thought ive had while scrolling this site recently

you actually make a pretty solid point and i can see exactly what you're talking about, however im currently just too enamoured with 2015 and prior maps to look at this with anything other than admiration Lol. if im not mistaken maps like these are kind of dime a dozen for the time and there's certainly ones with much more shine and sparkle to them, i think one in particular that comes to mind would be starfy's six trillion years that map really amazes me, loved that shit since i was like 13

i feel like there's always something missing from these few mappers' maps (kenters, ends, wanwan, etc) they r always structured so well reminiscent of the greater maps created by nold, skystar, etc but like the attention to patterning that the mappers of old had just doesn't feel completely there ? it's really interesting to me especially now with people showing aversion to maps that only deliver visuals without much substance in gameplay (big slider dumbshit of current era) , but to me maps like this feel the same (structurally sound but sort of lacking in other aspects in comparison to other more renowned and better executed maps)
