you know when it comes to maps with music I don't like I usually try to put that aside and judge the actual mapping on its own (though there's always some bias obv).
But when we're talking about covers I feel a lot less apprehensive to factor whether I like it or not since you've made a conscious choice to map this specific cover
honestly I have to rate it lower now, a lot of what made it at least somewhat enjoyable have worn off for me. like yeah the first couple of times you play it it's cool but because a lot of its impact is p much visuals only, once that's gone you just don't have much of an experience left.
idk this way of thinking may be unfair to an osu beatmap but when you take that many liberties I think it's fair game.
