The better I get at playing precision, the more I’ve started to feel that you could take any random cs4 map that’s already good and make it cs7 without really affecting its quality as a map. I don’t find that anyone making their map “for” cs7 has does anything particularly special to improve their maps. In fact I find people doing stuff like this to be the reason a lot of precision maps are unfun to play. For this map in particular I think it’s mid because it’s just a mid map not because it doesn’t do the cs7 things or whatever. Though I know this isn’t a popular opinion regarding precision maps and most ppl think differently probably?
All of that said, I wish we had more NM precision maps overall, even the ones like this.
the map isnt anything crazy but sometimes when you're farming through a bunch of shlock, its nice to have a map that actually like, tries to follow the song and is fun to play lol. whenever theres a farm map that i can retry spam like 10 times in a row and not want to tear my skin off i cant help but like the map. maybe my standards for this are too low
i honestly think the visual style this map goes for fits this song really well. some of it kinda plays like ass but its overall mostly fun. at the time it was pretty controversial and i still dont think it was that egregious even compared to other maps of the time. prob the map of this song im most willing to play
a mapping contest where the requirement was that you made the map one giant stream would probably result in some really cool maps if some good mappers gave it an honest shot
