1lasy thing worth mentionjng is that i dknt really speak as a mapper in my previous posts. i only opened this map in editor once, to figure out some of the rhythms after getting 100s in my plays. Id prefer these to be read as thoughts from a player trying to analyze the experience they went through with the map
Im writing all rhis not onlt because im in a 7hour bus trip but also because its probably good for me to articulate qualities of something that impressed me. TL;DR Dramatism is cool, is all. Even better when it's cool to play.
one thing i notice in a lot of maps I thought were Very Cool (as opposed to the mere Cool) is the existence of a raw, outrageous thing that one imagine the mapper wanted to do since they heard rhe song -- and somehow incorporate this outrageous thing into a whole experience thats engaging to play and not just in a "look at my cool idea" way I think
There are also Very cool maps that doesnt necessarily do this but yeah
and theres the 1/6 stacks. theyre not kicksliders , not streams, just a frickin stack. clear, raw, rock n roll -- also very nice way to underline fot a final time the point of the map in a way
in this regard, I dont think Ive seen many maps which were able to convey the emotional heights of a song so fiercely
the outrageous progression in spacing is paired with a good understanding of cursor momentum and a great creative choice of active rhythms that really is the glue that makes the whole experience remain grounded and engaging throughout the whole song for me.

when i realized the crosscreen jumps are 1/4 and not 1/2 it made everything much much more epic

i almost cried playing this map once
one of the best of UC's works for me. again clear sectional contrast through playfield traversal, the intro is chock full of neat rhythm and representation 00:20:828 (5,6) - love these for the flams, 00:27:256 (1,2,3) - all these 3 circle patterns feel great, 00:31:066 (1,2,3) - follow a line and break off perfectly fits the vibe of the guitar, 00:51:780 (5,6,7,8,9,1,2,3,4) - 02:10:113 (1) -
the kiais really hit hard, emphasising the song well, with many interesting ideas for contrast, and the use of bursts bringing in the left hand for building tension is brilliant; if you feel any emotional connection to the song then 04:20:113 (3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20) - is an experience you just do not get from any other map

still cant vibe with the rhythm but damn the song is good

i don't totally get why the difficulty balancing seems to work so well for so many ppl bc it's been in basically every map i've seen so far. the chorus is cool tho (especially towards the end) and the rhythm is very dope
