I wish 02:57:102 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1) - this pattern was not so spaced; even a less spaced version of this pattern would still be the hardest pattern in the song, but as it is now it creates this unnecessary feeling difficulty spike that makes repeated runs on this frustrating.
That said, I don't have much else to complain about. I love all of these patterns: 00:22:223 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2) - and I really like that the slow sections have thought and effort put into their patterning.
I normally don't like these density draining long repeat sliders like 01:22:714 (1) - but I thought they fit well with this particular song. I almost wish they were a bit less trivial to play but it's not a big deal.
02:58:600 (1) - Honestly I think this section coulda been a bit spicier, with more spaced 1/4 spliced into it to keep it fresh; the bpm is so low that the taping requirement is not really an issue, so this entire section feels pretty easy, almost easier than I think it's supposed to be? Also not really a huge deal, though.
Overall really solid, I love when the daily challenge gives me a map that I actually get to think about and enjoy. Also I had never heard of Bloc party before and this music seems right up my alley. Thanks for the map!
I randomly pulled this map in ranked and wasn't really expecting much from it, but I think I actually like it quite a lot. It really just feels like your cursor flows like butter in a lot of these sections; I'm particularly partial to 01:27:690 - the movement in this entire section. The arrangements are nothing that'll blow you away on paper, but when playing it all just fits together really nicely.
The map kind of loses me 01:50:278 - on this part, though. It's just underwhelming; the triples are fun but the long repeat sliders like 01:53:102 (1) - feel like a pretty uninteresting way to map this part of the song. There's a lot that could have been pulled from and it takes you out when you expect this to be the most dense / challenging part and instead it's these big sliders that aren't even really hard to play.
02:00:160 (3,4,5,6) - Just wanted to note this pattern, the hitsounds / music do not match the rhythm used in the mapping lol. 02:02:896 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - Patterns like this also kinda highlight my biggest issue with this chorus; where's the sauce! That part I said was really fun was a prechorus section on a pretty calm part of the map. I'd like if the chorus scaled up that difficulty and we really got to push the player's aim control and movement but the direction this map took just wasn't what I would have liked.
I'll close by saying this song is really catchy, another banger from WangleLine
