Yes, I know about the whole "the company can just opt out and go on the disallowed list", but it makes literally 0 sense to rerank a song when their guidelines are clear that they don't want their music distributed to an unlimited amount of people.

Imo ranking this puts the game at risk, and I don't approve of it.

this is yet another area in this game where we seem to just be subjecting ourselves to making up the rules as we go? i've heard "you cant rank dmcaed songs" countless times from so many people but it's not in writing anywhere so stuff like this just happens.

reminds me of the stuff thats apparently gone down recently about backgrounds being relevant to the song. nobody actually knows whether thats ok and nobody wants to have a real, official convention about it. or when we found out nobody knew what that "diffnames must not solely consist of one or more usernames" rule meant and trying to figure it out just got everyone more pissed

personally i appreciate that the rc proposals in the forums allow for public input but unless the response is literally support from top to bottom i dont think they ever get looked at? which means if the topic is mildly controversial nothing will ever get done about it. i would really like if the NAT just instated some sort of way that the BNG can convene on general issues in this game so we dont have to continue this charade forever
