too player-oriented for me i think, the map plays nicely the whole way through but also literally nothing changes for the whole thing so i was zoning out in a bad way
idk what to type about this one it was just really dull, the only part i enjoyed was the last kiai mainly because i was still holding combo and the streams got a little tricky so i had to lock in lol (i missed anyway so -5 stars)
enjoyed this more than i expected, it's fun once you get the hang of it. the catch is that the map suffers from poor rhythm/pattern introduction so unless you're quite good at reading you will likely misread the first instance of a pattern
i was actually surprised this is a collab, for the most part it's quite cohesive
map was fairly promising and i think the underlying structure idea could actually justify the mapping intensity quite well. however around ~02:13:329 - the map started ramping up too suddenly and it just broke the immersion for me
top diff isn't really bad but i find the map too lacking in inflections, and just generally too spaced out and stiff-feeling for a song like this, just kinda melded together in an uninteresting way
galv diff is kinda scuffed even for galv but it was still kinda nice after playing the top diff lol
was still interesting to play though, it's the only map i've seen of this song that leverages the really dense and chaotic-sounding rhythm to make for some fun tapping
on the extra it irked me so much while playing that the loopy sliders in 01:04:341 - don't actually particularily highlight the extended synth sound, since it also gets mapped with regular sliders
also was honestly really shocked 02:29:675 - didn't pop off and just kinda kept going with the same stuff, lacked in catharsis for me
It's interesting for me to look back at this and notice how inoffensive the Lasse diff feels now. Back in 2016 this annoyed me so much I downloaded all of his ranked maps and gds, purely out of spite and curiosity for "does this guy have even worse maps?".
They're all fine now. I think to some degree the mapping was simply novel for me at the time and I wanted to look at more, which was likely a positive experience for me even if the motivation was negative.

03:19:520 (1,1,1,1,2,3) - really cool btw i like it
brings absolutely nothing new to mapping this song in particular, doesn't do it particularily well either. very monotone
mapping already felt like they shot wcx out back and handed me a fucked up and evil version but then the description super ragebaited me
good map for a very dubious song, i was pleasantly surprised

somewhat promising buildup to basically nothing
mapping the choruses so streamy is so uninteresting
shockingly sterile map, the chorus really convinced me that nothing was going to happen the whole way. the spacing usage is so incredibly stiff

chat is this true?
im pretty sure i made vinxis look at this for his rating yet i never bothered rating it myself
I think all mappers should live in obscurity forever. Traded only upon word of mouth and aura
having ranked maps is actually lame and makes you a loser tbh
fake promise if it was drizzling sun
its ok... i forgive you
sigh... im gonna have to play riichi city now
