i know raiko probably doesn't think highly of this and i know many things changed in the mapping landscape since 2016 but i really like this as a player
i haven't had the chance to check this out back before omdb closed down but this map (and other honeysticks maps) were my biggest influences in the past year. honeysticks handles creative lyric-focused mapping really well, and knows how to mix interesting rhythms and dynamic patterning while keeping it also fresh in the playability side
however this is where his biggest weaknesses also lie: sometimes he goes too far into the playability side and makes something disconnected from the creative side of the map. it's almost like when you see his style's highlights, you expect the map to feel entirely like that, and it becomes disappointing when you see that he's not capable to push it to the full potential and blunders with stuff like 06:15:188 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - . this was something i pointed out to him before his diffs on the skee-lo map and MCR nanana got ranked and he readily fixed those. so he is clearly capable of executing things in a more consistent way and i feel like maps such as the NWA ones do a much better job at doing that than this.
that being said, i disagree that the overlapping wave sliders here are a detriment to this map. i genuinely believe they are some of the most iconic patterning in this map and showcase the more melodic vocals in this mainly lyrical/rap focused song.
this map brings one of the main limitations of grumd's style which is being completely distance snapped but it only shows how far he managed to evolve that in future breakcore maps only using rhythm management which is a cool thing
that being said i don't think this is bad at all it's just very bland

sad that bloxi never ranked this. probably my best rendition of 2011-12 style

the fact that godhacc also pointed out a "missing whistle" on one of the literal only 3 whistled notes in the map is absolutely insane

i feel like this could have slightly better execution in some places but i suppose it remains the best map i've ever made
summertime rolls and because maybe pt2 level ending diffspike but i guess it doesn't really ruin the map
