an artwork can be fine as a standalone separate from its context; it might not be what it tried to be but that shouldn't inherently make it a "failure," this map came off to me at least as a very genuine attempt at capturing the music and that alone makes it a commendable effort to me
out of everything that i've done on this game, i feel like my expert diff here is the only thing that matters to an extent. i might look back on my time on osu in a rather negative light, but this map's existence makes me think at least it wasn't all completely worthless.

you can really tell that Kloyd studied the blade of CS5 mapping from the titans that came before him (e.g. kiddly, tsuka, etc,..) thoroughly, and he manages to add his own identity into the mix beautifully. while imo vijore has the ever so slight edge over this map, this map is a good ass map that doesn't leave you wanting for more.
on one hand this is just Jounzan doing his own thing as usual, but on the other hand it's done properly. it feels like there's very little or no inting at all to be seen here. but hey could you map the 1/3 please this is an extra diff
what does it take to create something special? you could get quirky and try to come up with something out of the box, but sometimes, simple yet effective things beautifully woven into one could be all it takes.
what i really like about this map is HW is really really good at controlling the energy of a map and it really shows here. when the song calls for a more impactful pattern, the map patiently builds up for it so it ends up being more effective. that doesn't just apply on a microscopic level, but also macroscopically too. this entire map in my eyes kinda builds up for the last part with a final powerful bang to storm at you, and it's delivered in an ever satisfying manner.
one of the first to ever do it, still one of the best to ever do it. unlike a lot of "tech" maps that came after, this map is actually so tastefully done and i wish more people took note from that.
i really don't get what people see in this map. it's not a bad map by any means, but it's a really, really plain map that doesn't try to do much at all. adding in a bit more spacing for the last kiai is a nice touch but ultimately this map just kinda coasts with ds'd patterns for the vast majority of the map. come on yall, grumd has better maps.

i think the reason i like this map so much is because how of emotionally charged it is. (iirc from a pishifat video that features RLC) the map doesn't end up simply being a mediocre dnb map but rather a musical experience. RLC, in my eyes, really puts a good amount of care into how the patterns will play out with the music and he's really done a successful job on that. for such a long map to feel this tight is an achievement.
