@kataryn its bc it embodies a lot of recent trends people dislike.
- every pattern shoved in a corner for some nebulous incorrect reasons relating to "utilizing negative space" because raiko said it in 2021. especially in the slow parts, the further away from the center you put patterns with NCs the more reading strain is happening so it just feels wack here
- spacing ranging from everything being the same to wack emphasis in order to get to the next corner faster. in a lot of communities the concept of "good movement" has been reduced to movement being "comfortable" or "agreeable" instead of utilizing strong emphasis
- high sv complexity as a substitute for the lack of movement emphasis which comes off as really obnoxious, especially in slower parts

i do think the contrast in this map is rly ambitious. i also have bias towards dynamic art where a lot of shit happens in any medium so the sv variation in the chorus does activate my brain a bit i just wish it wasnt Everywhere

People on OMDB: this is so avalon newgennie mapper core and such a BAAAAAD map it should not be ranked! The ranked section will never be the same after this! Rate 0 on omdb NOW!

it's not really fair to call ratings "hate," people just dislike the map and rate it as such (mostly). The criticism in the comments is valid

i don't get the amount of hate this map is getting, in my view this map tries to convey the sense of grandioso and catharsis that the song gives off and in doing so comes up with some really cool ideas. ofc there are points that testplaying would have helped a lot, but all in all i was caught off by how much i was sold by this map lol

mix its like a guitar solo its meant to be the cool part of the song

i think its fine cuz song isnt doing that much, my main issue is kiais since they are pretty much the only parts of the song that are really that intense and them being mapped with the same slider double slider rhythm with the only variety being 4 kicksliders, all of this copy pasted like 5 times across all the choruses is really underwhelming and makes the map play like nothing IMHO

retardedly undermapped just for the sake of visuals (dont do taht shit if its for ranked) + 02:07:249 (1) - this is an accel stream for literally no reason. this song is not fit for a sliderspam map with wiggle streams man what are u doing. pls try and map normally if u are going for ranked. also this should be atleast ar9.7 or something this ar is way too low and od9.2 is way too low when u have wiggle streams and accel streams. also way too repetitive. i rly think this is the type of map that should stay in unranked
