first good omdb comment
Noticed this cause cool song and good game but kinda falls flat in a few areas for me so I thought I'd give actual feedback instead of just rating it as "meh" and not explaining:
* The timing simplifications make not a lot of sense at times, instead of using any bpm fluctuation (which is what the song does in a few places) you just monstrata piano man'd it and added resets at the same bpm which aren't correct
* The execution of the map is fine for the most part, but fails to really accentuate the nuances of the orchestral piece and instead ends up repeating a lot of visual concepts over places in the song where you could really add some variation to better represent different tonalities, stress on the instrumentation, etc. 00:03:761 (1,1) - 01:30:000 (4,1) - idk you just use these big circle sliders for so many things and it kinda lessens the impact of their uniqueness, I feel like orchestral provides so much room for slider creativity so this aspect fell a bit flat for me.
* I really appreciate what the kiai tries to do in terms of adding more nuance and variation but man 03:18:339 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1) - this pattern is just such a spike it kind of breaks the section for me especially considering target audience of insane diff.
Regardless thanks for mapping this banger and giving me something interesting to look at and think about.
after playing this a few more times I'm bumping it up by 0.5. the contrast is rly good and that kiai section is less evil once you learn it somewhat. still iffy on certain rhythm choices but eh
still haven't found an orchestral song that's mapped in a way i like playing I wonder if anyone can do it
whats up
oh boy
ewhat da hell
