this has none of the fun or whimsy or spontaneity within any element found in fun(ny) old maps and has none of the cool diversity in methods of representing similar phrases of music found in new(er) maps so the entire map just feels extremely rigid and registers as pattern spam and i wont even say to me or imo because this is not an opinion this map fucking sucks

this feels like a genre of map that doesn't exist anymore

this map aged like fine wine. simple map, executed pretty well

and it gaps a good majority of modern maps

really well considered movement especially for its time, within its simplicity the map manages to be engaging with how sensibly done the mapping is. this is one of the textbook examples of "inoffensive mapping" but that doesn't mean it's boring or anything. a classic.
