i agree that love fighter and bride in dream are both better than this but there's some poetry in "cross time" feeling like a map made by a time traveller. anyway it's still great

Zero reasons that this map doesn't deserve all the attention of the world.

The map is exactly what was needed for the song, requiring a player to actually listen and comprehend the song to play the map. The had enough attitude to force competence from the player to enjoy the map.

While I admit it isn't that special today, what are you saying the map is older than some top players. It's stunning how good something this early was, and a reason why it should be remembered.

FFFnatic's bringing his rhythm game experiences to a new game with 0 relating gameplay-wise inside this very mapset and it's proven gold, while other 2007 maps were mostly finding their way to imitate the original Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! or beginning to explore their own styles.
some another similar cases were DJPop, Starrodkirby86 and darrihuka who brought their O2Jam, PIU and DDR experiences into charting osu! maps. it's simply the reason why their maps are so unique among the other piles of maps by amateur pioneers.

wait the stacking is the goat part .

The second best 2007 map

9mo ago

addendum to my last comment: actually the only map with a similar amount of substance would be FFFanatic's "Love Fighter" map. it has unfortunately some more old map traits but it's worth checking out too if ur impressed by Cross Time

GOATED

9mo ago

just to expand on my thoughts: yeah this map is without a doubt, a total anomaly of it's time. there wouldn't be a map with more substance and quality than this for at least two years maybe - consider that this is a fundamental time period in osu! mapping history where overall mapping quality was improving at a significant rate.

the map has some serious predictive abilities like i mentioned: it has an actual semblence of structure, it actually /patterns/ things out rather than treating everything as individual objects, it frickin uses symmetry many many years before that became a household mapping style...

one might be eyebrowing such an ANCIENT map appearing relatively high on the charts, but this one might seriously just deserve it

9mo ago

ok this map is crazy how have I never seen this

9mo ago

wait a second

9mo ago

yeah probably the best 2007 map, aged very well. fun to play

9mo ago

9mo ago
