Also is this thing really random these maps are way cooler than when i hit the random button

The first chorus and the buildup to it are like permanently ingrained in my head from when i played this around when it was uploaded. Probably pretty influential i guess

03:40:588 (1,2,1,2) - you know aim spikes like these are really cool and i think people are too scared to do them, moreso on like insanes. But its really quite easy to play as long as you dont surround it with like similarly intense rhythm and aim and whatnot

01:26:325 (1) - nice i had my hitsound volumes on double coz i was playing and this sample blew my fkin ears off

Oh wow

licky licky

Shockingly quite fun for me its a shame how it has these annoying perfect overlapping sliders in the chorus though, i never found that fun. Also the arrangment changes each time and not in a very interesting way, just slightly annoying.

Which is kinda sad really because outside of the choruses its mostly well mapped and has quite a few cool things going for it.

Couldve probably done with more sr spiking 04:15:808 (1,2,1,2,1) - stuff like this couldve been executed better too rotation svs maybe i dont know doesnt feel too impactful. The general feel of how this plays is pretty nice though i guess

Patterning and playfield usage feels really super extra at all times. Combined with some irksome rhythm choice 01:09:255 like here really makes it feel like the shifts in the song are kinda ignored. 01:10:905 (2,3,4,1) - Like this is just so much everything for whats happening in the music.

Anyway gets better as it goes on i guess even if the last chorus feels a little abrupt. A lot of cutesy moments throughout too

00:14:891 (1,2,1,2,3) - The groupings here dont really make any sense. Probably wouldve prefered more extend sliders for this stuff too. Generally just feels kinda weightless overall. I mean maybe that was the intention? I dont really like it though

The way these blue ticks are handled is pretty cool

You know im not really sure what to think of this because i was thinking of something else the entire time and i dont remember a single thing. But i mean thats probably telling enough

I thought the anecdote was pretty useful

six seven

Why doews no one care about the good cryo maps? Strange

Very little people nowadays have this level of adeptness with sliderpaths and sv management. How it all plays is so incredibly cool! Probably my biggest inspiration when it comes to managing sliders. (03:22:925 (1,2,3,1,1,1,2,3,1) - Wow!)

Shame the errr slow parts are a littleee...

01:47:974 omg halgoh shit himself mapping this part

The answer is pretty simply because its fun to play. You dont have to hold yourself to rigorous "consistency" standards all the time. As long as its emphasizing what its trying to and its in line with the standards set so far in the chart (ignoring moments where exeptions could be valid), thats fine.

The point is a map isnt bad because its "inconsistent" or "consistent" or whatever other labels you wanna give a set approach. Its what you do within that that matters. And here, i think its done decently well. (Its not perfect however!)

Also to talk a little more, a lot of the patterning is tied to vocal phrasing and the unique patterning really helps bring it out in the song. 03:48:846 (2) - This entire pattern after is incredibly well done and the way it transitions on the reverse is honestly really cool it feels incredible seamless. 00:51:413 (1) - same thing with this wave thing.

Many many other examples too but i just thought it was worth mentioning.

But most of these patterns feel very similar in gameplay though? Its a lot of 1/4 aim and long repeat stuff. The map also does a really good job of placing these patterns where needed (01:37:510 (1,2,3) - unless its this rofl). Obviously the approach ur talking about is valid (and is somewhat the one i prefer) And yes, this map couldve done a better job at repeating some of its patterning. But there is absolutely nothing wrong with the approach to this style of gameplay design

Also worth nothing fundamentally this map is quite good. The intensity step ups across the chart are clear and warranted. And the way a lot of the patterns are mapped are honestly really easy and straightforward to play (a few examples agaisnt this obviously. 01:42:358 (2,3,4,5,1,1,1) - Like, how did no one point this out). Visually its also quite engaging. I dont know, it just irks me to see people write baseless comments about overmapping rhythm etc without thinking at all why this approach might work. (Its considerably better than just doing the same thing three times!)

Oh and, 03:00:098 (1) - Please dont nc on blue ticks honestly its so disgusting to read

? Wouldnt hurt any of u to try this many emphasis techniques maybe ull make something fun. 04:42:627 (1) - This is fucking stupid though

the way some people aren't allowed within 500 feet of a school, APP shouldn't be allowed within 500 feet of a map editor

the way some people aren't allowed within 500 feet of a school, eithne and ninore shouldn't be allowed within 500 feet of a map editor

Ah wait it says tournament custom i wont say any more
