01:47:974 omg halgoh shit himself mapping this part

The answer is pretty simply because its fun to play. You dont have to hold yourself to rigorous "consistency" standards all the time. As long as its emphasizing what its trying to and its in line with the standards set so far in the chart (ignoring moments where exeptions could be valid), thats fine.

The point is a map isnt bad because its "inconsistent" or "consistent" or whatever other labels you wanna give a set approach. Its what you do within that that matters. And here, i think its done decently well. (Its not perfect however!)

Also to talk a little more, a lot of the patterning is tied to vocal phrasing and the unique patterning really helps bring it out in the song. 03:48:846 (2) - This entire pattern after is incredibly well done and the way it transitions on the reverse is honestly really cool it feels incredible seamless. 00:51:413 (1) - same thing with this wave thing.

Many many other examples too but i just thought it was worth mentioning.

But most of these patterns feel very similar in gameplay though? Its a lot of 1/4 aim and long repeat stuff. The map also does a really good job of placing these patterns where needed (01:37:510 (1,2,3) - unless its this rofl). Obviously the approach ur talking about is valid (and is somewhat the one i prefer) And yes, this map couldve done a better job at repeating some of its patterning. But there is absolutely nothing wrong with the approach to this style of gameplay design

Also worth nothing fundamentally this map is quite good. The intensity step ups across the chart are clear and warranted. And the way a lot of the patterns are mapped are honestly really easy and straightforward to play (a few examples agaisnt this obviously. 01:42:358 (2,3,4,5,1,1,1) - Like, how did no one point this out). Visually its also quite engaging. I dont know, it just irks me to see people write baseless comments about overmapping rhythm etc without thinking at all why this approach might work. (Its considerably better than just doing the same thing three times!)

Oh and, 03:00:098 (1) - Please dont nc on blue ticks honestly its so disgusting to read

? Wouldnt hurt any of u to try this many emphasis techniques maybe ull make something fun. 04:42:627 (1) - This is fucking stupid though

the way some people aren't allowed within 500 feet of a school, APP shouldn't be allowed within 500 feet of a map editor

the way some people aren't allowed within 500 feet of a school, eithne and ninore shouldn't be allowed within 500 feet of a map editor

Ah wait it says tournament custom i wont say any more

As a side note they should make the box bigger when u type large comments. Is that a thing that can happen.

Also the original song is way better

I think this suffers from the sv being too high at points (Very visible in the choruses) leading to a feeling of very little resistance. Which i think on a song like this with these loud impactful drum rhythms is a really big shame that its not capatilised on at all.

Also extends to rhythm choice. I understand in the choruses wanting to fill it out (I dont necessarily agree) but in other sections of song it feels really bad. What stood out to me the most was here 00:55:143 where practically the only thing happening is the triples. I understand wanting not to be mapping only triples for 20 seconds but theres so much random filler (01:00:899 (3) - held sliders after the triples really dampen the impact of the final hit. 01:02:992 (3,4,5,1) - The most inexcusable by far, as i could understand for previous uses of this in this section, that you could say the intensity was tied to the vocals, but this is wayy too much.) that it really clouds what the song is doing.

I could type way more but in the end it really feels like there wasnt much attention to detail at all. Combined with a really poor understanding of svs and rhythm. My heart sank while i was playing the 1/3 section lol

02:22:557 The back and forths shown later not being done here is rly sad. The linear circles leading into the choruses are really cool though. Just a shame it feels a little underdeveloped

Not so great this one

I quite literally have no other way of putting this but this might be the worst map the ranked section has ever seen and i wish i was kidding. Its quite unbelievable

If it wasnt for 01:18:375 (1,2,1,2,1) - this being so so boring every chorus this would probably be a 5. Frankly i think this is super underrated and theres quite a few things i could say about it. The general patterning is really fun and stays engaging. Although, i do think the angling does get a little tired after 5 minutes. Almost reminds me somewhat of a kibbleru map

THIS IS MID FOR A SKYSTAR MAP

Also wow this is #8 overall

I thought thats what it was supposed to be

I wonder if probox likes playing vertical jumps.

Captin0

I think i could give this a 5 but i am very very petty.

This isnt like me.

Why did i make the ending so easy

The mapper must have really really liked this soft hitwhistle sample

For the top diff, it would be really nice if you couldve done some additives for the kiai it feels really empty! Particulary for these vocals 01:04:581 - 01:16:689. As for the intro the doubles feel pretty out of place and i dont understand why it wasnt done here 00:08:738.

But i respect what this was going for! I was a big fan of this 00:58:798 (1,1,2,1,2). Just try and develop your ideas more (eg a more consistent and less abrasive way of implementing blue tick rhythm & a way of emphasising the peaks of the song better) and it could be really cool.
