if i were to map a homage to hollow wings and yet my map wouldn't play or look anything like my intentions state, it's fair to criticize it, however that doesn't take away from the actual map though. even if it fails being a homage, the map can still be good regardless of the intention. if you think that the map as a whole is disappointing or not up to your standards then all good.
top diff's parts that are not marked as kiais are actually good. kiais themselves tank the rating by a lot though - felt that either the chaos that the kiais bring is _just_ chaos and not enough structure (slider parts) or then the chaos doesn't go hard enough where modifying the base structure to a greater extend would benefit the map more and make it more interesting (streams on 2nd kiai beginning)
dragonicz's diff i feel like captures the song's essence a lot better through the things i just said (structure, highlighting parts with more drastic changes when it's needed etc)
all this is said from a mapping perspective tho so shrug
I think the latter half of the map is as good if not better than the first half and I will die on that hill
That being said though, this map captures what the song does perfectly. Every object in the map feels as if they're in their correct spots; a pixel different somewhere else and it'd be off. One of the best maps I've seen in years, truly a masterpiece. I can only applaud for making this.
cs5 is in my opinion the most forced thing in this map, it doesn't add anything meaningful whatsoever. the ending also makes me question whether the map has some existential crisis going on. as a plus though some of the simple pattern mixed in with symmetry are cute
Aistre's diff feels like a proper homage to AngelHoney, best diff in the set by far
There's like couple cut streams I loathe but I really like the transitions between HW parts to (currently) Kinomi. Streamy parts feel nice on fingers. Great for 2014
I'll be honest, Frostmourne and RLC carried kinda hard, wish it was a 2man collab instead. Azer's parts weren't as bad as I remember them to be tho and those had some cute moments like 00:54:107 (2,3,4,5) -
It's easily my favourite probox tech map - I wish people evolved this style into something more instead of going on with the 5x sv bull that is the norm these days
i usually think about this and trail of dust and how my maps can never be as cute and i hate it

Used to think this map is the most mid map ever to its' core but I'm slowly changing my mind
I appreciate the concepts within the map even if I don't like the representation or the execution. Cool ideas

On paper Irre and Hanzer shouldn't go that well together but sometimes collabs just enable people and this bangs hard
