WHAT 🔥🔥🔥
I find that I never truely agree with anything I write, no matter the topic. My opinions are never fully clear in my head so I cant accurately transcribe them. I'll probably think of something wrong in that comment I just wrote in an hour. Woe is me.
yeah youre right panda, those are just some meaningless fancy sounding words.
let me elaborate on my second comment since it sucks ass: while there are some places in the first half where I wish it was more adventurous with rhythm and structure to create better contrast between sections, and with the section at 06:22:437 I wish it had more variation to better represent whats happening in the song here, I do commend the successful effort to make the map accessible in the first half considering the song choice, and there are many cases rhythm simplification I like here too. Also, the crazy rhythm section with the horizontal and vertical parts grew on me, I think woeys point stands true for it.
i've always thought that combining psycho rhythm with edgy visuals was a recipe for disaster so i appreciate the simplicity personally
We need the review function on omdb soon
no, hes fine to elaborate, that gives his opinion merit lol
amateurish and pedestrian is crazy just say u don't like the map lol
Unfortunately the execution of this map is somewhat amateurish, with an overly pedestrian first half, and quite simple patterns in the second half.
This map is essentially a meta top player bait map, as it links to the thematic ideas of Whiplash (the film that this song comes from) by mirroring the drum solo where the main character pushes himself to the max with highly difficult gameplay that pushes the player to the max. Through this it links high level osu play to performance art, and the idea that Whiplash explores of performance art encouraging hurtful obsession. This leaves the playing of the map as an essential part of the map in a pretty interesting way, and makes the map 'about' osu.
im sorry blixys
