no worries. i do think it's pretty comedic how i can accuse peoppe of treating it like sports and have someone reply with "lowering rating" while someone else acts like i'm crazy for pointing it out lol. the cognitive dissonance goes crazy.

you all know what reputation this website has outside the userbase and the fact i can reliably get massive negative reactions to criticism of the nasty behvaior displayed by the userbase and yet the uplifting comments and ratings i give out on things that i am the only rating on proves to me that this was never about "beatmap discovery" and it was always just about pvp because y'all treat mapping like its sports

i'm not talking about the need for surgical ratings that i'm talking about people like kaly who follow me around the website to downrate things i like, or people who show up on maps like transhumanist or other popular maps to hate on them and write nasty things about them.

if that makes me wrong i don't want to be right. creative hobbies should be about constructive critique and uplifting art.

in a place like this i would hope i was perceived as strange tbh. i'm here to celebrate a creative hobby and catalog a rough idea of my taste in maps, and instead of going into comments and posting reductive and mean things about people's creative work i'm mean to the people who are nasty for free in the first place.

there's valid reasons to dislike things and then there's the way i can ragebait this website into exposing itself just by calling it out lmao

it's honestly crazy how i spent like 8 hours with a friend in vc writing an entire document tryign to deconstruct the style of this map and then we both agreed we still didn't get it enough to actually inspo it lol

this map actually made me emotional when i saw it for the first time. no background and it still had more to say than most ranked sets do.

yeah actually i think "like i'd geniunely understand if it wasnt for the shittiest execution ive ever seen in a map, but saying that ''it's feel of music'' is just outright wrong and delusional" about creative work someone cares about is an insult but maybe you live somewhere where the word insult means something else

ppl make this personal and leave comments with insults about ppl's creative work and generally it's easier to get users on here to click on drama than on someone trying to uplift a map they love. it has a really bad effect on the beatmapping hobby and i wish ppl would be less mad at me for calling it out and more mad at the people who make this place suck.

u guys make fun of the good vibes agenda but i think it would actually be good to have positivity in a hobby space

this website the only place where the users will call other people weird and tell them to take it less serious while having 1k+ ratings on a beatmapping review website
