imo it just feels like this map in particular is just trying to be "different" at the expense of actual fun and playability, with the focus being trying to express the music as accurately as possible, catering to niche skillsets rather than keeping shit simple and mechanics-based
even as a homage to old style maps it feels kinda half baked and imo the rhythm choice of the entire map feels super underwhelming and a bit random/weird in some places
