ppl just hate it cuz it's low-effort, which isn't *really* a meaningful artistic criticism but passes for one anyway because it's a shared frustration vis-a-vis ranked mapping

the problem is the map is just Whatever. like why even bother stealing it, it just comes off as laziness

i've always found the highly varied reactions to stealing pretty funny and also quite confusing. thieves are met with responses ranging from worship (skystar) to mockery (pikaquors). is it about permission? well, in that case, stealing from yourself would be permissible, but given the reactions to this, it's not quite that either. like clearly this is supposed to be "themed stealing" in the way that the mapper linked the two mapsets by ranking at the same time but people are upset over this regardless
